with Coach Sarah Driscoll
Worried your daughter doesn't have a position yet? Libero is the elite spot built for the scrappy, smart, never-quit athlete — and ages 11–13 is when coaches start choosing who gets it. Coach Sarah Driscoll (two-time D1 CAA champion libero at JMU · #3) teaches the platform, footwork, and floor reads that turn "just a passer" into the player every club team wants. Build it at 12 so the 13U tryout is a yes, not a maybe.

Same gym she'd step into for a CVA club practice — Courts4Sports in Mason, Ohio. Climate-controlled, regulation court, plenty of parent viewing space along the sideline.
CVA's home facility — full regulation court, sideline viewing area for parents, climate-controlled play. The same gym used for CVA club practices and lessons.
Get DirectionsCVA provides all balls and court time. No special equipment needed — just her game and a willingness to be coached.
Doors open 15 minutes before the session. Quick check-in at the front desk, then straight onto the court. Parents are welcome to watch from the sideline viewing area — we just ask that you let Sarah coach during the session.
Built-in Q&A time at the end if you want to ask Sarah a question about your daughter's development.

She's from here. Lakota East grad. Cincy Classics kid.
Before she was a two-time CAA champion libero at James Madison, she was a Cincinnati kid who didn't even pick up volleyball until sophomore year of high school — and then decided she was going to be great at it.
And she was. GMC First Team. All-City Third Team. Cincy Classics standout. Then she went to JMU and turned into one of the most reliable backcourt players in the conference — 566 digs in a single season at 5.05 per set, a career-high 34 digs in a single match against VCU, and two CAA Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Her teammates talk about her the way you want any 12U athlete to be talked about. “She instills a lot of confidence in us when we're swinging. I know she's behind me. She'll cover me.” — that's a JMU outside hitter talking about Sarah. The other word her teammates use? Goofball. The energy she brings to the back row is contagious — and that's the exact mindset a young libero needs to build.
English major. Dean's List 2018. Two CAA conference championships. And now she's back in Cincinnati to teach the next generation of liberos what she had to figure out on her own.
The 12U window matters. Ages 11–13 is when club coaches start choosing who gets the libero spot at 13U tryouts — and the athletes who walk in already comfortable on a platform are the ones who get it.
Twelve athletes per session. One date this summer. Lock the seat before tryout season — Sarah and the CVA staff handle the rest.
$75 per athlete · 12 spots per session · 90 minutes hands-on
Ninety minutes of focused back-row development. Twelve athletes per session. Hands on every pass, every dig, every rep.
Quiet platform. Stable angle. Reading the server's toss before contact. The mechanics that turn a chaotic serve receive into a clean ball to target — the single most important skill at the 13U tryout.
Reading the setter. Reading the hitter's armswing. Beating the ball to the spot instead of chasing it. Sarah teaches the reads that made her a two-time CAA Defensive Player of the Week.
Full extension. When to dive, when to roll, when to reset. Falling correctly so she gets up faster. The fearless back-row habits that separate the libero from everyone else on the floor.
The messy plays. The free ball that wasn't free. The over-pass. The shank. Keeping the rally alive when nothing's going right — and being the athlete the coach trusts to do it.
Sarah leads every minute on the floor — direct instruction, direct feedback, twelve athletes deep.

Cincinnati's own. She left Lakota East for James Madison, built one of the most reliable backcourts in the CAA, and came home to coach the back row she had to figure out late. She knows what it takes to win the libero spot — because she had to win it the hard way.

Thanks to the foundation she built at the clinics, our daughter made both her school volleyball team and the CVA national team. Her school coaches even asked how she improved so much in just a year.
The improvement she made over the last 8 months has been significant. If you're looking for a competitive club that also cares about your daughter, CVA is it.
Part of CVA for three seasons. It really feels like everyone we interact with just cares about the kids. Whenever any of us walk into the club, it just feels like home.
Coach Kent has changed my daughter's life. She came feeling nervous and not so confident — her skills have improved exponentially in just under a year. We saw improvements within weeks.
Out of all the coaches our kids have had across different sports, she stands out as one of the best. We couldn't have asked for a better first club experience.
We love that the atmosphere is very positive and family oriented. Coach Kent has helped her grow as a player and is very encouraging and positive.
Coaches are POSITIVE and encouraging. The facility is clean and welcoming. The culture that is being built at CVA is impressive.
My daughter played at the National level. I was beyond impressed with the coaching she received. We love CVA and would highly recommend it as a well-established volleyball club.
CVA has given my daughter and my family much more than a place to train. If you are looking for a competitive club with coaches who take the time to get to know your child, you are at the right place.
