I'm Derrick Dreher, and I've got 14-Dreher at CVA this season. There's one skill I never get bored of, and it's the mental side. Skills are teachable. Learning to reset after a mistake is the hard part.
My wife, Jen Dreher, and I have been coaching together for multiple years. We compare notes every week, so your athlete gets the best of both of us. I didn't come up through this sport as a player. Every skill I teach, I had to break down and understand before I could explain it. That turns out to be useful when a kid says, "I don't get it."
