I'm Coach Gégé. I coach 15-Gold, and this is my second season at CVA. Sit through one of my practices and you'll work out my favorite thing to teach. It's the mental side. Skills are teachable. Learning to reset after a mistake is the hard part. I'll happily spend an hour on serve receive too. I've spent more than fifteen years in the gym, six or more with this exact age group. Watch one practice and you'll know exactly what your athlete is getting.
Errors in a tight set get handled the same way every time. My job in that moment is the next point, not the one we just lost. If you watch a session of mine, it'll be heavy on fundamentals and technical work.
I'll also tell you who won't enjoy playing for me: parents who want to hash out the lineup while the team is still packing up. Playing time, plainly: minutes are earned in practice — and I'll tell an athlete exactly what to do to get them.
My 2026 team was Flight 5 Champion 17 Select ( AAU ) I work Hard and i NEVER EVER GIVE UP. The day job: Administrative analyst. My own playing: i played everywhere professionally overseas, and I can still demonstrate every rep.
